When motorcyclists are asked, "What do you love most about riding your motorcycle?" they will tell you it's the sense of freedom it gives them when it's just them and the open road.
The creator of Ride of Freedom, Narran Mclean, began her journey on two wheels in 2010, travelling to and from her place of work, which was performing the leading Lady role, as Nala, in London's West End musical The Lion King.
This period of Narrans life was extremely challenging; not only had she been performing in the job of her dreams, but at this time, she also had to relive a period of her life to get the justice she deserved.
In 2011, Narran won her court case, bringing one man (18) to justice for his crime against her as a three-year-old child, which continued the many years of her life that followed.
At the age of 15, due to becoming an emotionally disturbed teenager, Narran was made to leave the family home.
She approached a hostel at age 15, but they said she was too young for them to accept, so she spent a year floating around from place to place and dealing with lots of rejection and feelings of worthlessness.
At Ride of Freedom, we believe in the power of love, patience, empathy, compassion, understanding, and forgiveness to unite us in a world that needs rejuvenation. We are all in this together.
Narran created Ride of Freedom to help free the minds of those living in hardship, where bikers could ride for a good cause and be a part of a funfilled day that hopefully they will never forget.
Ride of Freedom believes we are not one without the other and many of us have the ability to be there for each other. Most of us have If you, reading this, have ever experienced hardship, you will know only too well the importance of freeing ourselves from debilitating mind and body conditions.
Often, our way out of a challenging situation is to receive help from those in the best positions to help.
Narran's vision for Ride of Freedom is to support various charities seeking to help people in need. Ride of Freedom organises and hosts day events involving motorcyclists and non-motorcyclists; this usually begins with a meet and greet in the morning with tea and coffee, an awareness ride, then touches down at a venue where there is live entertainment, food, beverages, snacks, games, prizes and much more!
Do your bit, and help us help those in need and support this world to ensure it is thriving at its best.
Every rider joining a Ride of Freedom charity ride helps someone in need.

Being born in the Manila, Philippines during the 1970's. I have grown up seeing poverty in my daily life. I have seen how it can make children lose self-esteem and give up pursuing their dream to earn a living at a very early age.
Living in poverty, I have seen how some people descent into drug addiction and crime. And how some people rise up to become stronger persons, becoming more loving and selfless. And have determination to strive to uplift their family from poverty. The difference between those who descend and those who rise up is the love that they felt in childhood and having a person who believed in them and gave them a chance.

I am one of those people who was given a chance. I was able to complete my university education out of the goodness of people who believed in me and who showed love and generosity during those dark early days.

I want to give back now. To show generosity and love to people. To believe in people that they can rise up becauase all they need is a helping hand.

Ride of Freedom is one way for me to give back.
